Our Community
This website is created for the convenience of the homeowner association members and for those wishing to learn more about Orcas Highlands Association activities and concerns.
Orcas Highlands is located four miles south of Eastsound, the largest village on Orcas Island, and one-half mile from Rosario Resort. It is one mile from the entrance to Moran State Park and set on the lower slopes of Mount Constitution. Many homes have vistas across the Strait of Juan de Fuca towards the mountains, and all are nestled among towering cedars, alders and firs.
Highland residents enjoy lovely, serene, country-like living where neighbors are friends who appreciate privacy and the beauty of the island.
A Vibrant Community
A diverse, vibrant active group of families, retirees, and community-minded people of diverse professions and passions share one thing in common: we love Orcas Island, we love Orcas Highlands, and we love being involved, participating individuals making sure this incredible place remains safe, beautiful and welcoming.
Community activities including the clearing of brush for fire mitigation purposes, safety awareness drills and informational meetings are commonplace. It's no surprise that these events also become community picnics and gatherings that make these projects even more meaningful.
A dedicated Board of Directors made up of permanent residents volunteer their time and energies to maintain the vision of those who developed the Highlands. They embark on projects designed to enhance life within the community for all.
